Baking For Good

Community is the basis for any successful small business.  Our Gorham community supports us not only by coming in to purchase what we offer, but with feedback, encouragement, and by surrounding us with a culture of positivity, that truly wants us to be a successful part of the local business scene.  We plan to make our success a win not only for us, but for Gorham.

Giving back is an essential part of existing within a supportive community.  We hope to pay forward the support we've received, and also to simply immerse ourselves into the fabric of the Gorham community with programs that boost compassion, inclusiveness, and which offer educational opportunities for our neighbors.

Right now we partner with Gorham organizations to make donations to those who experience food insecurity.  We have also offered our bakery space for use in preparing items for charity and promotional events.  We have donated baked goods to local nursing homes, and are working on linking with our schools for educational opportunities for students.

Please stay tuned to see what else we have in store.  Our vision is to not only have a profitable business, but to leverage our success to implement programming that will make our community even stronger.

Heart of Baking 2023

Our second annual fundraiser for Special Olympics Maine was held on February 12th, and raised over $1800 for Special Olympics programming!  Local law enforcement and Special Olympians gathered here to decorate heart shaped cookies to sell to our customers for the purpose of fundraising.  250 cookies were decorated and sold this year!

Babygirl foundation is a local non-profit which implemented a  parent's comfort closet at Barbara Bush Children's Hospital in Portland.  Their purpose is to help parents who have seriously ill children in the hospital, with comfort and essential items such as clothing, toiletries, journals, phone chargers, and many other items to help during a very stressful time.
In March of 2022 we welcomed  Babygirl Foundation to Sullivan House to help them gain visibility for their mission, and to accept donations.  The Bakery donated $2 from the sale of every chocolate chip cookie that day.   We are very pleased that this day resulted in $500 of funding, and many donated items for the Foundation.

Special Olympics Maine

A Dough Raising Event

On February 13, 2021 We held a fundraiser for Special Olympics Maine, in partnership with the Gorham PD.  Officers from Gorham, Windham, and USM decorated valentines cookies with Special Olympics athletes.  These cookies (80 of them!) were set out for sale.  The cookies sold out, and the proceeds from these and all of the tip jar donations resulted in raising $1,500 in one day!  We are so grateful for the support of our community and customer base in helping us have this incredible fundraising success.  Thank you!
